The inner ten is where matches are won.
This app helps you get there.
Eight Modules
Before the Match
Nine protocols with specific purposes — activation, relaxation, focus, regulation. Animated pacer with haptic feedback on every phase transition.
Eight guided audio scenarios — pre-match, per-shot, recovery, finals, first shot, closing, coping, and mastery. Sensory-rich language specific to pistol shooting.
Build a personal cue-word routine from 36+ words across six categories. Timed practice mode with haptic pulses. Evolves with you.
Under Pressure
Nine protocols across three layers: stress inoculation and intensity drills for training, activation boost and pre-match downregulation before the match, and on-the-line resets and between-series recovery during competition.
Ten exercises adapted for shooters: presence, body scan, task focus, acceptance, drop the rope, breath awareness, letting thoughts pass, naming stories, commentary box, and focus switching.
Eleven guided exercises: thought check-ins, cue word building, flip the script, reframing, affirmations, values clarification, and process goals. Replace destructive self-talk with performance-focused language.
On Match Day
Timed preparation flow — 60 or 30 minutes. Equipment check, goal review, warm-up, breathing, visualization, and arrival at the firing point.
Two-phase post-match reflection. Quick capture within 15 minutes, full structured review the same evening. Voice memo support.
Structured Training
Seven focused sessions. Build the mental foundation that holds under pressure.
After completing the program, the app transitions to personalized daily suggestions based on your training history.
Methodology
Inner Ten is built around the Mindfulness-Acceptance-Commitment approach described in The Psychology of Enhancing Human Performance by Frank L. Gardner, PhD, ABPP, and Zella E. Moore, PsyD.
Pressure, thoughts, and body sensations do not need to disappear before you can shoot well. The app trains acceptance instead of wrestling for perfect calm.
Mindfulness is used as attention training: notice what is happening, then come back to sight picture, trigger feel, breath, and the next shot cue.
Self-talk, routines, and reflection connect to how you want to train and compete, so behavior stays process-led when score pressure rises.
From research to practice
The app translates MAC principles into short, repeatable exercises: acceptance drills, task-focus sessions, values clarification, pre-shot routine practice, pressure exposure, and structured debriefs for competitive pistol shooters.
Built Different
Generic apps teach you to breathe. Inner Ten teaches you to breathe at the firing point, with your heart rate elevated, in the last ten shots of a 60-shot match.
Sight pictures, trigger press, hold stability, firing point. Every guided session speaks your sport.
Designed by Morten Teinum, ISSF Certified Pistol Coach. Grounded in ISSF methodology and sport psychology research.
All audio is on-device. No Wi-Fi on the range? No problem. Your training data stays on your device, and you can export a full backup archive from the app when you want one.
Download and start training. No email, no sign-up, no tracking. Your mental training is private.
Connect a compatible BLE heart rate monitor during supported sessions and view BPM changes live on iPhone.
See your next session, current streak, and program progress at a glance. Stay on track without opening the app.
