How the app and website handle your data.

Last updated: May 11, 2026

1. Summary

  • Your data is stored on your device.
  • Website visits and a small set of anonymous website interactions are measured with privacy-focused analytics through TelemetryDeck.
  • No user accounts, no login required.
  • Depending on your device backup settings, most local app data may be included in iCloud Backup or computer backups.
  • Stored heart-rate session records are kept in a separate local store that Inner Ten marks as excluded from iCloud Backup.
  • Optional profile details and match-day planning data are stored as part of your app data.
  • Optional in-app usage analytics and Meta ad attribution events are only sent if you explicitly allow them in the app.
  • You can turn analytics and attribution off later in Data & Privacy without affecting app functionality.
  • Microphone access is optional and is used for live dictation in text fields.
  • No in-app advertising, no data sold to third parties.

2. Data We Collect

Inner Ten stores your training data — journal entries, debrief notes, routine configuration, session history, profile preferences, and other information you choose to enter into the app — locally on your device using SwiftData.

This can include optional profile information such as your display name, discipline preferences, reminder settings, personal cue words, standing goals, and optional dictation language. It can also include match-day planning information such as event name, venue name, venue address, entered notes, personal goals, saved venues, and venue coordinates when you choose to save them.

Depending on your device backup settings, iOS may include this local app data in iCloud Backup or computer backups created through Finder. Those backups are handled by Apple as part of the device backup system. The developer does not receive access to your backup contents.

Stored heart-rate session records are kept in a separate local store that Inner Ten marks as excluded from iCloud Backup. They are not automatically synced by the app. If you choose to export your data manually from the app, the export file can include stored heart-rate session records.

If you use address search in the match-day features, the text you search for and the result you select are processed by Apple's MapKit / Apple Maps services so the app can suggest addresses and resolve coordinates. If you save that venue in Inner Ten, the selected address and coordinates become part of your app data. The app does not request continuous device location access for this feature.

3. Analytics

The Inner Ten website uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-focused website analytics. When you load pages on this website, TelemetryDeck may receive page-view data such as the page URL, referrer, campaign parameters, locale, country, browser, and device category.

The website also sends a limited set of anonymous interaction signals, including taps on App Store call-to-action links, taps on support or policy links, support email taps, and FAQ opens. These signals are used to understand which pages and calls to action are useful, and do not include account identifiers, form contents, journal data, or other personal text.

According to TelemetryDeck's web documentation, its Web SDK does not use cookies or fingerprinting. Instead, it derives a privacy-preserving daily identifier from the IP address, app ID, and user agent, combined with a daily-changing salt and then hashed.

Separately, the Inner Ten iOS app uses TelemetryDeck for usage analytics and the Meta SDK for ad attribution and campaign measurement, but only after you explicitly opt in. If you do not allow analytics, no analytics or attribution events are sent from the app.

If enabled, app analytics events may include app flow and feature usage information such as onboarding progress, selected training paths, session starts and completions, paywall views, purchase flow events, notification permission results, and heart-rate connection attempts. Meta attribution events are limited to conversion-oriented app events such as paywall views, subscription checkout starts, onboarding completion, and subscription starts. We do not intentionally include your name, email address, journal content, debrief text, or dictated text in app analytics or attribution events.

You can withdraw consent for app analytics and attribution at any time in the app under Profile > Data & Privacy. Turning analytics off stops future app analytics and attribution collection immediately and does not affect any app features.

Analytics and attribution events sent before you withdraw consent may remain in TelemetryDeck's or Meta's systems according to their retention practices. Because this data is not tied to an Inner Ten account or a directly identifying profile, we may not be able to locate or delete a specific historical analytics record on request. TelemetryDeck's privacy policy is available at telemetrydeck.com/privacy. Meta's privacy policy is available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

4. Purchases

The app offers auto-renewable subscriptions, all processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. The app also continues to recognize legacy Lifetime unlocks for existing purchasers. The developer does not receive your name, email address, or Apple ID. Apple may process purchase-related information according to their own privacy policy.

Purchase status is cached locally on the device to provide offline access. If you have enabled analytics and attribution, the app may send a limited subscription-start event to Meta for ad conversion measurement. No purchase data is sent to any server controlled by the developer.

5. Health Data

The app can optionally read heart rate data from compatible Bluetooth heart rate monitors.

  • Bluetooth heart rate monitors — via CoreBluetooth for standalone BLE sensors.

Heart rate tracking is optional. Live heart rate is displayed in real time during supported sessions, and supported sessions can save heart-rate records locally on your device so you can review and export your training data later. Heart-rate records are kept outside the app's normal backupable data store and are not sent to any server or shared with any third party. The app is fully functional without heart rate data.

6. Audio & Microphone

All guided audio content is pre-generated and bundled with the app. No audio is streamed or downloaded after installation. The app works fully offline.

The app requests microphone access for optional live dictation in text fields such as journal notes, debrief answers, and onboarding/profile text input.

Live dictation uses Apple's Speech framework to convert speech to text. Depending on the language, device, and Apple's current speech recognition handling, microphone audio used for dictation may be processed by Apple to provide transcription. The developer does not receive or store raw dictation audio on a separate server. The resulting transcript is only saved as part of your app data if you choose to keep it.

7. Your Choices, Retention, and Deletion

You can control optional analytics in Profile > Data & Privacy. You can also use the in-app data controls to export a full backup archive, import a previous backup, reset built-in content, or delete all locally stored app data.

If you export your data manually, the export file can include stored heart-rate session records and other app data. Save that file only to a location you trust. When you delete app data inside Inner Ten, the app removes the data it stores locally, including optional profile details, saved venues, match-day plans, journal data, stored heart-rate session records, and other app content stored on the device. Existing device backups are managed separately by Apple and may continue to exist until they age out or are replaced according to your backup settings.

Analytics and attribution events already sent before consent was withdrawn are not linked to an Inner Ten account and may remain in analytics or attribution records as described in section 3. Subscription transactions are handled by Apple and follow Apple's retention practices.

8. Third Parties

The app contains no in-app advertising and no third-party crash reporting SDK. The external services and platforms involved are:

  • Apple StoreKit for subscription purchases and entitlement handling.
  • Apple Speech for optional live dictation and transcription.
  • Apple Maps / MapKit for address autocomplete, search, geocoding, and opening directions when you use match-day venue features.
  • TelemetryDeck for website analytics and for optional in-app analytics if you opt in.
  • Meta Platforms through the Meta SDK for optional app attribution and ad campaign measurement if you opt in.

The app is built with first-party Apple frameworks including SwiftUI, AVFoundation, StoreKit, Speech, CoreBluetooth, and MapKit, and is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information related to downloads, purchases, speech recognition, map/address lookups, and device backups in accordance with their terms and privacy policy.

9. Children's Privacy

Inner Ten is not in the Kids Category and is not designed primarily for children. The app does not require account creation and does not show in-app advertising. Optional analytics and attribution can involve third-party SDKs only when enabled by the user. If a user chooses to enter personal information such as a display name or match-day venue details, that information is stored only as part of the user's app data as described above.

10. Changes to This Policy

If the app's functionality or privacy practices change, this page will be updated with a new date.
